YVETTE FREEMAN

For more than twenty years, Yvette Freeman has been designing and building award-winning, luxurious, and unique spaces in the District of Columbia and across the Southeast. This passion has taken her around the country and throughout Europe rummaging through barns, warehouses, flea markets, and estate sales. Along the way, she’s reclaimed materials, furniture and home décor — some centuries old — to incorporate into her distinctive, contemporary designs. Yvette’s two-decade obsession has become more than a personal hobby. It’s a story of professional excellence and commitment to the preservation and repurposing of some of the most magnificent mixed-use and single-family homes ever built.

Yvette is also the owner of FOUNDRY, a design firm and vintage store located in Lucketts, a historic town in Leesburg Virginia. Prior to launching D3, Freeman was the co-owner of The Freeman Group, a luxury development firm she operated along side of her brother Joe for many years. She has channeled her design instincts to develop numerous properties to meet some of the region’s most-demanding structural and conceptual challenges. For good reason, her clients keep coming back to Yvette to help them realize their visions for beautiful and imaginative, yet efficient and functional spaces to call “home.”

On weekends, you’re likely to find Yvette still foraging the grand estates of Virginia’s coast and countryside looking for ideas, objects, and materials for the properties D3 is currently building, and the yet-to-be-seen homes that Yvette has been planning in her mind for decades.
